Syracuse, N.Y. - The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Toyota Frozen Dome Classic will feature a matchup between high school Section III rivals the Baldwinsville Bees and Cicero-North Syracuse Northstars on Friday, Nov. 21 at 6 p.m. in the Carrier Dome.

"The possibility for our student athletes to participate in the events surrounding the Toyota Frozen Dome Classic is a once-in-a lifetime occurrence," said Section III Executive Director John Rathbun. "It is also a golden opportunity for Section III to showcase the quality of ice hockey that is being played within Central and Northern New York."

The game between Baldwinsville and CNS will be the first high school hockey game played in the Carrier Dome. Admission to the high school game is included in the Toyota Frozen Dome Classic ticket. A ticket to the Toyota Frozen Dome Classic grants fans admission to the Baldwinsville vs. CNS game on Nov. 21, and on Nov. 22 a charity game between Syracuse and Utica law enforcement, a collegiate matchup between SUNY Oswego and Utica College and the Syracuse Crunch vs. Utica Comets main event.

"The Baldwinsville Central School District is truly honored and privileged to be part of the first ever hockey game to be played in the iconic Carrier Dome," said Baldwinsville Central School District Director of Athletics Christopher Campolieta. "This will be a tremendous experience for our student athletes and coaches alike. Twenty years from now our athletes will be able to say they were a part of history by participating the first-ever hockey game held in the Dome." 

"The CNS hockey players, coaches, and community are thrilled about playing in the first ever high school hockey game in the Carrier Dome," said CNS Athletic Director Timothy Bednarski. "This is such a great opportunity for our student athletes and our program to be part of this historical event."

Tickets to the Toyota Frozen Dome Classic are on sale now and range in price from $20 to $50. Discount ticket prices are available for groups of 15 or more people. Tickets can be purchased either in person at the Syracuse Crunch Office located at the War Memorial Arena on 800 South State Street in Syracuse, the Carrier Dome Box Office or by calling (315) 473- 4444 and at all Ticketmaster outlets. 

The Syracuse Crunch will host the Springfield Falcons for their home opener on Saturday, Oct. 11 at 7 p.m. Season tickets for the 2014-15 season are on sale now and can be purchased either in person at the Crunch Box Office located at the War Memorial on 800 South State Street in Syracuse, or by calling the office at (315) 473-4444.
