Ducks Send Smith-Pelly to Crunch on Conditioning Loan

Syracuse, NY (February 6, 2012) – The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Anaheim Ducks have assigned right wing Devante Smith-Pelly to the Crunch on a conditioning loan.

Smith-Pelly, 19, has played in 26 games with Anaheim this season and has recorded five points (3g, 2a). The winger was Anaheim's second round, 42nd overall, selection in the 2010 NHL Entry Draft. Before beginning his professional career with the Ducks this season, Smith-Pelly played for Mississauga of the Ontario Hockey League. The Scarborough, Ontario native has 153 career OHL points (78g, 75a) in 184 games played.

Smith-Pelly is available to play Tuesday, when the Crunch travel to Connecticut to face the Whale. The Crunch will return home to host the Hershey Bears on Friday, Feb. 10 and the Albany Devils on Saturday, Feb. 11.
