Syracuse, NY (January 9, 2012) – The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Anaheim Ducks have recalled defenseman
Kyle Cumiskey. Additionally, the Ducks have reassigned goaltender
Marco Cousineau from the Allen Americans of the Central Hockey League (CHL) to the Crunch.
Cumiskey, 25, has played in 29 games for the Crunch this season recording 14 points (2g, 12a). Cumiskey has played in 132 career NHL games with Colorado totaling 35 points (9g, 26a). Originally drafted by Colorado in the seventh round, 22
nd overall, in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft, Cumiskey was acquired by the Ducks in October in exchange for
Jake Newton and a seventh-round selection in the 2013 NHL Entry Draft.
Cousineau, 22, has played in 16 games for the Allen Americans (CHL), recording a GAA of 2.68 and .914 save percentage. Cousineau was in Syracuse for training camp before being assigned to Elmira where he played one game for the Jackals before being assigned to Allen on November 10, 2011.
The Crunch travel to Binghamton to face the defending Calder Cup Champion Senators on January 13. They return home on January 20, 2012 to host the Norfolk Admirals at the War Memorial Arena.
