Columbus Assigns Brule to Syracuse

Syracuse, NY (January 1, 2008) – The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets have assigned center Gilbert Brule to Syracuse.
Brule, 21, has appeared in 31 games this season for the Blue Jackets, tallying 1 goal, 3 assists and 10 penalty minutes. In 116 career National Hockey League games, Brule has notched 12 goals, 15 assists and 38 penalty minutes. A native of Edmonton, Alberta, Brule was selected by Columbus in the first round, sixth overall, in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
The Crunch’s next game is Wednesday, January 2 as they travel to Wilkes-Barre/Scranton to take on the Penguins.
