Syracuse Signs Karl Goehring--Crunch's All-Time Wins Leader Returns

Syracuse, NY (December 13, 2007) – The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they have signed goaltender Karl Goehring to a professional try-out contract.
 
Goehring returns to Syracuse first all-time in Crunch history wins (63). He is also tied for second all-time in goals-against average (2.66) and shutouts (9).
 
Goehring, 29, has appeared in three AHL games this season with Wilkes-Barre/Scranton (2 games played, 0-1-0, 2.11 goals-against average) and Norfolk (1gp, 0-0-0, 7.30 gaa). He played in 44 games with Milwaukee last season, going 22-15-4 with a 2.69 gaa and .908 save percentage. 
 
A native of Apple Valley, Minnesota, Goehring played for the Crunch from 2001-02 to 2004-05, appearing in 151 games with a 63-63-13 record and a 2.66 gaa.
