Columbus Acquires Defensemen Aaron Rome and Clay Wilson from Anaheim for Center Geoff Platt

Syracuse, NY (November 15, 2007) -- The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets have acquired defensemen Aaron Rome and Clay Wilson from Anaheim in exchange for center Geoff Platt.
 
Rome, 24, has appeared in 14 games this season for Portland, notching 2 goals, 3 assists and 31 penalty minutes.  A native of Nesbitt, Manitoba, Rome was drafted by the Los Angeles Kings in the 4th round, 104th overall, in the 2002 NHL Entry Draft.
 
Wilson, 24, has appeared in 14 games this season for Portland, scoring 3 goals, 5 assists and six penalty minutes.  A native of Sturgeon Lake, Minnesota, Wilson was signed to an entry-level contract by Anaheim on June 11, 2006.
 
Platt, 22, has appeared in 15 games this season for Syracuse, tallying 4 goals, 3 assists and 6 penalty minutes.  A native of Mississauga, Ontario, Platt was signed by Columbus as a free agent on November 25, 2005.
