He is one of the world's best-known survivors. Now can he last through a night of Syracuse Crunch hockey?
That question will be answered on Saturday November 4, 2000, when Long Island native and SUNY-Binghamton graduate, Dr. Sean Kenniff, who was the fifth remaining survivor voted off the island in the highly acclaimed CBS television series 'Survivor', will appear at the Crunch's home game against the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks.
Prior to the game Sean will be available to sign autographs in a one-hour meet and great party, held in the lower level of the War Memorial. At this party fans will have the chance to register to win a number of prizes, including a dinner for four with Sean. Three fans will also have the chance to sit with Sean for one period of the game.
The middle of three children, Sean graduated from Massapequa High School and attended SUNY-Binghamton in the fall where he received his Bachelor of Science degree in biology.
Dr. Kenniff received his M.D. through New York Medical College, then continued his studies at the Long Island Jewish Medical Center. As a neurologist, Dr. Kenniff worked for the Long Island Jewish Medical Center, the North Shore University Hospital and St. Francis University Hospital.
With his Survivor series over now his focus hasn't strayed too far. Sean still sees himself getting back to the medical field but not before he pursues the publication of his book, which he hopes will develop into a television series.
More details will follow about Sean's Syracuse appearance as they become available.
