The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Northland Communications “Business of the Month” for the month of February is Family Practice Associates, PLLC.

Family Practice Associates, PLLC, began operations in October 2001 in their new location at The Clay Medical Center, corner of Route 57 and Soule Road, in Liverpool. Family Practice Associates, PLLC strives to provide quality and comprehensive care for the entire family.

Their medical staff consists of six physicians who are Board Certified by the American Academy of Family Physicians: John R. Michaels, MD, our Medical Director, Shawn E. Fazio, MD, John G. O’Brien, MD, Brian K. Smith, MD, Lauri A. Fairbanks-Doan, DO, and Mark J. Van Husen, MD; one physician who is Board Eligible by the American Academy of General Physicians: Michael R. Nolan, MD; three Family Practice Certified Nurse Practitioners: Katherine A. Manser, RN, FNP-C, Rebecca A. Sleeper, RN, FNP-C, and Kay L. Callahan, RN, FNP-C; and one Certified Registered Physician Assistant, Heather A. Hudson-DeLap, RPA-C.

The scope of their practice encompasses all age groups, from newborns to the elderly. The range of their services stretches from preventative routine care to treating illness and injury. Some of their special services consist of an office-based laboratory, an allergy department, sigmoid scopes, minor surgeries – such as laceration repair, vasectomies, EKG’s (electrocardiograms) and pulmonary function testing.

Office hours are Monday – Friday 7:00 am – 10:00 pm, and Saturday 9:00 am – 5:00 pm; however a physician is on-call 24 hours a day.
