The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled defenseman Duvie Westcott.

Westcott, 25, has appeared in 21 games with Syracuse this season, recording one goal, 10 assists and 52 penalty minutes. In 28 games with Columbus, Westcott has recorded five assists and 61 penalty minutes. A native of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Westcott was signed as a free agent by Columbus on May 10, 2001.

Syracuse travels to St. John’s on Friday, March 7 and Saturday, March 8 for 6:05 p.m. match-ups. Crunch action can be heard on SportsRadio 620 WHEN with play-by-play announcer Bob McElligott. The Crunch return home on Friday, March 14 to host the Rochester Americans at 7:30 p.m. Friday night is Cintas Rally Towel night, when the first 2,000 fans in attendance will receive a rally towel, compliments of Cintas.
