The Syracuse Crunch announced today that former Crunch star and current Nashville Predators right wing Scott Walker will drop the ceremonial first puck prior to Game One of the Western Conference Semifinals between the Crunch and the Chicago Wolves on Friday, April 26.
The most prolific post-season player in Crunch history, Walker led the Crunch to the Western Conference Finals during the 1995-96 season, appearing in 16 games with 17 points (9g, 8a).
The first-ever all-star in team history, Walker appeared in 89 games with the Crunch during the 1994-95 and 1995-96 seasons, recording 17 goals, 50 assists and 386 penalty minutes. Originally the Vancouver Canucks fourth selection, 124th overall, in the 1993 Entry Draft, Walker has appeared in a total of 439 career NHL games with Vancouver and Nashville, tallying 61 goals, 114 assists and 743 penalty minutes.
