
The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they signed right wing Ben Knopp and center Matt Dzieduszycki (je-doo-shiht- key) to amateur try-out contracts.
Knopp, 19, appeared in 78 games with Kamloops (WHL), recording 44 goals, 39 assists and 119 penalty minutes. A native of Calgary, Alberta, Knopp was Columbus’ 2nd pick, 69th overall, in the 2000 Entry Draft.
Dzieduszycki, 22, appeared in 28 games with the University of Western Ontario (CIAU), recording 23 goals, 30 assists and 90 penalty minutes. A native of Mississauga, Ontario, Dzieduszycki finished second in the Canadian Interuniversity Sport with 44 points, (19g, 25a) during the 2001-02 season as a member of the University of Western Ontario.
Syracuse returns to action tonight against the Rochester Americans for a 7 p.m. match-up.
