The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets have assigned defenseman Tyler Sloan to Syracuse.

Sloan, 21, appeared in 70 games for the Kamloops Blazers (WHL) this season, recording 3 goals, 29 assists and 89 penalty minutes. A 6-foot-3, 194 pound native of Calgary, Alberta, Sloan was signed as a free agent by Columbus on October 2, 2000.

Syracuse returns to action on Wednesday, April 3 when they host the Rochester Americans.
