Preparations continue to take place out at the New York State Fairgrounds. Just after 9:00 a.m. on Thursday the first truck of the day delivered stone, while the on-site crew worked to spread stone already on the track and roll it out to make a level surface.

Since this past Monday morning, barriers have been moved into place, protective material has been laid and truck loads of crushed stone have been delivered in order to level out the race track. Truck loads of stone are expected to be delivered over the next 2-5 days and will continue to be rolled and leveled. From there a "sand box" will be built on top which will later be the base of the ice surface.
