
Syracuse, NY (July 10, 2009) – The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets have re-signed defenseman Jonathan Sigalet to a two year, two-way NHL-American Hockey League contract. As per club policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed.
Sigalet, 23, appeared in 19 games with the Crunch last season, notching five goals, six assists and 16 penalty minutes before suffering a season-ending shoulder injury on November 28 vs.
At the time of his injury, Sigalet was tied for twelfth in the AHL in scoring among defensemen and ranked fourth among all blueliners in plus-minus with a plus-13 rating. He was also tied for fifth on the Crunch in scoring and led the club in plus-minus.

Prior to turning pro, Sigalet spent two seasons with Bowling Green (CCHA) from 2003-05, tallying six goals, 25 assists and 62 penalty minutes.
