BLUE JACKETS ARRIVE IN SYRACUSE SEPTEMBER 22

Syracuse, NY, (Thursday, June 1, 2000)

Columbus To Face Buffalo In Exhibition Game.

The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they will host a National Hockey League exhibition game on Friday, September 22, featuring their new parent club, the Columbus Blue Jackets against the Buffalo Sabres.

The Sabres feature former Crunch star and Selke Trophy (outstanding defensive forward) winner Mike Peca and two-time Hart Trophy (MVP) winner Dominik Hasek.

"This is a great opportunity for our fans to see our new parent club in action against the region's NHL team, the Buffalo Sabres," said Crunch President and CEO Howard Dolgon. "It will be a night to remember and a great kick off to our agreement with Columbus."

"The Blue Jackets are happy to be able to play an exhibition game in Syracuse," said Columbus President and General Manager Doug MacLean. "We think it will be a good opportunity for the fans there to get a look at our team and some of the players who will be a part of their community. We are very excited about our affiliation with the Crunch and this game will be a great way to kick off our working relationship with the organization, the city of Syracuse and the fans."
