
The Syracuse Crunch announced today that the Columbus Blue Jackets have assigned center Zenon Konopka and left wing Curtis Glencross to the Syracuse.
Konopka, 26, registered 20 penalty minutes in six games with Columbus after being acquired in a trade from Anaheim on January 26. He has 13 goals, 26 assists and 123 penalty minutes in 48 AHL games this season with the Crunch and Portland Pirates. In 272 career AHL games, he has collected 77 goals, 134 assists and 828 penalty minutes.
Glencross, 24, was scoreless in six games with Columbus since he was recalled from Syracuse on February 22. He made his NHL debut with the Anaheim Ducks on January 13 vs. Colorado and scored a goal. He has added 12 goals, 13 assists and 90 penalty minutes in 41 games with the Crunch and Portland Pirates of the AHL this season. He has recorded 35 goals, 27 assists and 244 penalty minutes in 140 career AHL games and one goal and two penalty minutes in eight career NHL games.
