CRUNCH TO BEGIN FIRST ROUND OF PLAYOFFS HOME AGAINST MANITOBA ON FRIDAY, APRIL 21: The Syracuse Crunch announced the dates for the first-round of the 2006 Calder Cup playoff match-up against Manitoba.

The Crunch’s best-of-seven first round series will begin Friday, April 21 at the War Memorial at Oncenter at 7:30 p.m. Prices are $16, $14 and $12. (Day of game ticket prices are $17, $15 and $13).

Tickets that are labeled Game A are to be used for Game One. Tickets labeled Game B are to be used for Game Two. Tickets for the first two home games (Ticket A and Ticket B) are available by calling the Crunch’s sales office at (315) 473-4444, stopping by the Oncenter Box Office, located on the State Street side of the War Memorial or by calling TicketMaster at (315) 472-0700.

The Crunch’s North Division Semifinals schedule is as follows:

DELMORE RECALLED BY BLUE JACKETS: The Syracuse Crunch announced today that Columbus Blue Jackets have recalled defenseman Andy Delmore. The team also announced that they have released defenseman Justin Vienneau from his amateur tryout contract.

Delmore has appeared in 6 games with Columbus this season tallying two penalty minutes. He topped all American Hockey League defensemen in goals (17), assists (55) and points (72) in 65 games for Syracuse this season. Delmore put together a 15-game scoring streak from December 10 to January 14, the longest by an AHL blueliner since 1994, and on February 15 he became the first AHL defenseman in 15 years to score four goals in a single game.

Delmore finished second among league defensemen with 11 power-play goals and first with 44 power-play assists on the year.A native of LaSalle, Ontario, Delmore was claimed off waivers by Columbus from Detroit on October 4, 2005.

Vinneau, 20, appeared in one game with Syracuse, recording two penalty minutes. A native of Oshawa, Ontairo, Vinneau was selected by Columbus in the seventh round, 198th overall, in the 2004 Entry Draft.

COCA-COLA AND SPORTSRADIO 620 WHEN RALLY TOWEL NIGHT AT THE CRUNCH: The Syracuse Crunch, along with Coca- Cola and SportsRadio 620 WHEN, announced today that their Friday, April 21 game against Manitoba will be Coca-Cola and SportsRadio 620 WHEN Rally Towel Night at the Crunch.

The first 2,000 fans in attendance will receive a Crunch rally towel, compliments of Coca-Cola and SportsRadio 620 WHEN.

THIS WEEK''S OPPONENTS:

MANITOBA (VANCOUVER CANUCKS): Syracuse hosts Manitoba for Game One on Friday, April 21 and Game Two on Saturday, April 22. Syracuse finished the regular season series with a 3-1-0-0 record against Manitoba. Defenseman Andy Delmore led the Crunch in head-to-head scoring with eight points (1g, 7a), while left wing Jason Jaffray led the Moose in head-to-head scoring with eight points (4g, 4a). Goaltender Andrew Penner has appeared in three games for Syracuse, posting a 2-1-0 record, a 5.55 goals against average and .849 save percentage. Manitoba goaltender Wade Flaherty has appeared in four games for the Moose posting a 1-3-0 record, 4.54 goals against average and .849 save percentage against Syracuse. Lifetime, the Crunch are 6-1-1 against the Moose during the regular season.

UPCOMING PROMOTIONS:

Crunch Game-Worn Jersey Auction: The Crunch’s 2005-06 game-worn jersey auction is currently ongoing.

Available for the auction this year are the teams’ home jerseys (white color), road jerseys (blue color), third jerseys (red color), theme jerseys, St. Patrick’s Day jerseys and warm-up jerseys. All of the available Crunch jerseys can be viewed on the Crunch’s official website (www.syracusecrunch.com) beginning Friday, March 17

Fans can bid on Syracuse’s 2005-06 game-worn jerseys at remaining Crunch home games or on the Crunch’s official website www.syracusecrunch.com/shop/jersey_auction_new.cfm.

Bids must be made in $20 increments (for example - if current bid is $500, bids of $520, $540, $560, etc... will be accepted).

All winning bids will be notified within 48 hours of the conclusion of the auction. The auction will conclude Wednesday, May 3 at 5 p.m.

Winners are responsible for shipping and handling costs. Jerseys are not autographed.
