The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they have signed defenseman Jekabs Redlihs to an amateur try-out contract.

Redlihs, 24, appeared in 27 games with Boston University (Hockey East) this season, tallying one goal and five assists. A native of Riga, Latvia, Redlihs, was selected by Columbus in the fourth round, 119th overall, in the 2002 Entry Draft.
