CRUNCH ANNOUNCE DETAILS OF C&S COMPANIES SCORE FOR A CURE PROGRAM; PROCEEDS TO BENEFIT THE CENTER FOR CHILDREN'S CANCER AND BLOOD DISORDERS

Syracuse, NY, (Tuesday, February 20, 2001)

The Syracuse Crunch and C&S Companies announced today the details of the C&S Companies Score For A Cure Program to benefit the Center for Children's Cancer and Blood Disorders at University Hospital in Syracuse, NY.

For each goal the Crunch score during the month of March, participating businesses and Crunch fans will make a donation to the C&S Companies Score For A Cure Program to benefit the Center for Children's Cancer and Blood Disorders at University Hospital in Syracuse, NY. Businesses' and fans will have the opportunity to make a pledge for each goal the team scores or a pledge for each goal their favorite player or players scores.

"The Center is helping hundreds of local families each year who are struggling with illnesses like cancer, hemophilia, and sickle-cell anemia,” said Orrin B. MacMurray, P.E., C&S Companies President. “The people of C&S are pleased to be able to team up with the Syracuse Crunch Hockey Club to support such a good cause."

“We are very pleased to be partners with C&S and the Crunch,” said Toni S. Gary, Director CNY Children's Miracle Network Upstate Medical University Foundation. “The children at The Center for Children's Cancer and Blood Disorders will benefit in so many ways from the the support of the Central New York community. All money raised though this campaign will stay here to benefit our children.”

“We are excited about joining efforts with our good partner C&S Companies to raise funds and awareness for the Center for Children’s Cancer and Blood Disorders at University Hospital, said Howard Dolgon, Crunch President and CEO. “I appeal to Crunch fans to rally behind the team on this program.”

Anyone interested in making a pledge to the C&S Companies Score For A Cure Program should contact the Crunch office at (315) 473-4444 ext. 124, the C&S Companies at (315) 455- 9840 ext. 200 or stop by an official C&S Companies Score For A Cure table at each Crunch home game, beginning on February 25 when the Crunch host the Saint John Flames.

The Center for Children's Cancer and Blood Disorders at University Hospital is dedicated to the single goal of making a significant contribution to the increasingly successful fight against childhood cancers and blood disorders.

The only center of its kind in the 20-county region that extends from the Canadian border to northern Pennsylvania, the Center for Children's Cancer and Blood Disorders at University Hospital serves more than 700 children with various malignancies and blood disorders.

The generous support of the Central New York community is utilized by the Center to support biomedical research, as well as patient/family and professional educational programs designed to fight childhood cancers and blood disorders.
