The Syracuse Crunch announced today that they released defenseman Matt Libby from his professional try-out contract.
Libby, 26, appeared in 10 games with the Crunch this season, recording eight penalty minutes. In 44 games with the Trenton Titans (ECHL) this season, Libby has recorded 3 goals, 19 assists and 42 penalty minutes. A native of Saco, Maine, Libby appeared in 102 career American Hockey League games with Bridgeport, Syracuse, Saint John and Portland, recording 2 goals, 16 assists and 53 penalty minutes.
The Crunch hosts Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Friday, March 18 at 7:30 p.m. for Empire Vision Centers Poster Night II.
