
The Syracuse Crunch announced today local band Merit will perform at the Crunch’s March 9 game against Edmonton.
Merit will be playing prior to the Crunch’s March 9 game and during the first and second intermissions in the Crunch Club, located in the lower level of the War Memorial at Oncenter.
Merit, formed in 2002, has played with such bands as Liz Phair, Thousand Foot Krutch, Stage, The Reputation and Bif Naked. Their ‘When We Fight’ album was released in April 2004 with Aux Records and their single ‘Man On A String’ has been in rotation on KRock since August 2004. At the 2004 Syracuse Area Music Awards, Merit received the Brian Bourke Award for best new artist.
The Crunch hosts Edmonton on Wednesday, March 9 at 7:00 p.m. for Labatt’s Dollar Beer night. Tickets can be purchased by calling the Crunch office at (315) 473-4444, at the Oncenter Box Office, located on the State Street side of the War Memorial or by calling TicketMaster at (315) 472-0700.
