Huge character win last night in Chicago.

And you could tell by the emotion in our locker room after the game.

This very well may be a game this team looks back at as a turning point in the season when all is said and done.

We played good, old fashioned Crunch hockey.  Right from the start.  In fact, we even got it going before the game - -  during warm-ups - - when Captain Z and crew let the Wolves know we were going to be the team to do the pushing.  No more backing down for the boys in red, white and blue.

It's amazing how aggressive play can be infectious.  Derek Dorsett was a whirling dervish all night long, even holding his own in a scrap against the giant Valabik, who owns a one foot and 50 pound size advantage.  Not one Wolves players would look Mirasty in the eye and our defensemen made sure the skilled Chicago forwards paid a price when they crossed into our end of the ice.

No one's saying that this win will catapult us to a 20-game unbeaten streak, but three in a row (two on the road) is a good start.  The signs are positive.  And don't forget, we did it with a line-up last night which excluded Lindstrom, Brassard, Cullen, Picard and Beech.  A handful of pretty good hockey players there.

But there is something to be said for grit and determination.  And the more often we demonstrate these attributes on the ice, the better our team will continue to play.
